It has been over 3 years since I blogged last. Since that time of watching Gundam 00 in my cold bedroom my cat Victoria was put to sleep, I lived for a few years with my sister and brother-in-law in my mom's place. Then earlier this year the house was finally sold.
I have been staying with my friends since Feb of 2010 and have tried with little success to find a new place to live. Rent to high or the places I wanted to buy got better offers. This year is coming to an end and I think it is time to rethink my life.

Gundam 00
I have been watching the fansubs of this show and I have to say I am really enjoying this show much more than Gundam Seed and Seed Destiny. For one the technology is not over the top, sure the Gundams surpass the various Earth government MS technology but not by so much. The Celestial Being has the GN Particle, sure its fantasy tech, but its what makes the Gundams superior.
The Union having faced the Exia gundam a few times already has a Custom Flag MS that can catch up to the Exia and maneuver just as good and for the Exia pilot to retreat. The Earth MS's are not as versitile as the Gundams but I bet they do not take long to catch up.
At least the Gundams do not have that stupid armor that the Seed continunity had. They could just get hit and hit and hit and still not be blown up unless it was for dramatic effect.
I am already up to Episode 5 and this was probably the slowest of them as far as story movement goes. I will have to wait another five days or so until I can see the next one. But bravo to the producers of this finely crafted show so far.

D&D Campaign Re-Start... well for me
We have been playing a 3.5 campaign for well over a year I think and we have gotten together just a few times over that time to actually play. Well I was one of the guys who just was not happy with how they game was going I thought. The DM had asked me to use a character from his old 2nd edition game using Skills and Powers and I loved that little Dwarf. His name was Kronius, but what made him fun. Teasing the other players girlfriends with my crusty dwarf was not there. The girls that is. They all decided not to play.
Kronius was not fun to play with a room full of guys, we are talking 8 guys sitting at a table. My loin cloth antics did not go over well. LOL.
So I have chosen a new character, his name is Furian Falconsflight, (thanks to the WotC name generator for making that name) he is a 7th level priest, a human raised by elves after his family was slaughtered and a party of Elf rangers heard his cries. He is now setting out to discover his family history in the area against his elf parents wishes, they were unable to have a child of their own and while he is human they loved him as a son they could never have.
I had a lot of fun this adventure.
Synopsys thus far of the story....
We are in the town of Riverside which is concerned as neighboring towns are becoming deserted. Reports of large Goblin armies laying seige to the large cities in the country have been coming in, but what is even more surprising is that it seems the entire population of these cities just dissappear. Rumor is the undead come up from underground in the underseiged cities and they take the town. The Goblins take the riches and they move on to the next town.
The part concists of a Paladin, Sorcerer, Wizard/Thief, a monk, gladiator and now my cleric. Two NPC's a thief I believe and a young boy wishing to be a monk but is more than a handful for the monk to deal with, right now he is the gladiators stablehand.
They have made contact with a band of goblins called the Red Sashes, they have kin captured by a goblin king who has decided the world belongs to him. They also have captured humans in their cavern stronghold.
I get hired by the NPC Thief to come with since they will need help. I agree since I hate goblins, I do not know of the red sash's. I begin to wonder the next morning at the meeting spot who I am working with since they are working with evil creatures who I want to very much kill to rescue more evil creatures.
The gladiator and Wizard take out the scouts outside while the sorcerer casts an illusionary sphere to get us inside. Once inside the fights break out and we make our way to the Goblin King. His henchman a huge orc strides to us and I cast hold person while the sorcerer casts fireball incinerating the goblin king... to easy right? The gladiator kills the held orc and we search the remains of the king. The red sash's with us confirm its not the King. We make our way to the prison and find the other held goblins and a boy!
He is asking us where his father is. This seems weird there are no more humans here but plenty of room for them. He says he was the only one here. It makes no sense.
We head back to Riverside. Along the way we see a wagon the other players had encounted days ago. They recount a tale of the dead they buried, we see no signs of the buried bodies anymore. The gladiator spits "undead" and I cast detect evil. Guess who is evil? I pull out my longsword and point it at the boy. The monk is like wtf are you doing? I tell the party my god tells me the boy is evil. and again the boy asks where his father is.
The monk is looking at the boy and asks him why he is leading people to the goblins. I am furious the boy is having his own people slaughtered by the goblins and who knows what else. I run him through. OMG the table errupts in laughter as I roll a 26 to hit and roll max damage. The player of the monk, Sonny, is like what did you do that for? I am like he started to stammer when he was trying to explain himself he is evil and deserved his fate. The monk wannabe NPC is freaking out, saying this is not what he signed on for. We are all laughing as I look at the NPC and say all serious like (and stopping laughing just long enought to get out) I can heal him just enough to ask him if he wants any more. After 15 more minuets of laughing we have to figure out what to do.
We search the boy at the gladiators request and find a bag of 10gp, I look at the monk, funny a boy prisoner would have that, and then a note, next time lead them to the fork in the road. I smill and say My god never lies. The monk NPC is still stammering and I tell him we all have our secrets and if he wants to stay with the party we will keep his quiet. This gets him many looks and I say I will cast speak with the undead the following day to get the information we need.
This was a fun episode, I had not had this much fun in a long time. Man my face and neck hurt from all the laughing.

Eternal Swordsman
Yes that is Koenshaku from Giant Robo.
A few weeks ago in my Mutants and Masterminds game I threw a big bad at the team. They could school this guy but his regen was such that he kept getting up. Granted when I used him against the players I had him as a PLX character. (An NPC that is more of a plot device than anything). So when I decided to stat him up for the eventual fight later on between him and the team again I wanted it to be a bit more fair.
